Relocation of TNT Express

The parcel carrier TNT Express Nederland opened a new, ultramodern depot in Eindhoven in which a number of distribution centres were combined. The sorting centre was built in ten months and has a sorting capacity of 3,500 parcels per hour. The TNT depot on GDC’s company premises in Eindhoven also has 105 loading bays including 52 for lorries. The building whose construction was commenced ten months earlier, is equipped in such a way that delivery vans can drive right up to the sorting belt.

Saan handled the relocation to the new distribution centre for TNT Express. A callcentre was also relocated there. During this move, the workstations of about 200 staff including special furniture were relocated. Saan also took care of the disconnection and reconnection of PCs and other equipment.

After the completion of the relocation tasks and the distribution of excess items to other TNT sites in the Netherlands, the old offices, sheds and warehouses were handed over broom clean. The time taken for the relocation was 6 weeks, with TNT being unburdened as much as possible and the normal business processes of this client were able to continue as usual as far as possible.
